Kantú Lentz is a Peruvian filmmaker who is inclined to creating love stories that take
place in alternate realities with magic realism elements.
Her short STRUCK BY HER premiered at the 44th Annual USA Film Festival in Dallas, TX.
In 2014 Kantú was part of the AFI Directing Workshop for Women. During this time she directed
"Up Here.”
In 2015 Kantú directed the comedy video, “Rollercoaster Break-up” which went viral and
got several write ups.
In 2016 Kantú worked as the writers assistant on the NETFLIX original show “INGOBERNABLE”
She also served as a writer on set.
She recently premiered the short “Moses Storm’s Perfect Journey” at the Tribeca Film Festival as part of the TUMI 19 degree collection.
Currently, Kantú is directing a New Balance branded content campaign for Refinery29 while developing her first feature, which will be shot in Peru.
