Kantú Lentz is a writer/director based in Los Angeles.

Her award-winning short film Jack and Jo Don’t Want to Die, starring Justin Kirk, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and is currently being developed into a feature-length version.

In 2022, Lentz made her TV directorial debut on Dick Wolf’s Chicago Fire on NBC, where she was invited back in Season 12. She recently directed an episode of Jerry Bruckheimer’s Fire Country for CBS and is getting ready to shoot another episode in the second season, which will premiere in 2024.

She is an NBC Female Forward, AFI DWW, Sony Television Diverse Directors Program, Viacom Emerging Directors Program, and Tribeca/Chanel Through Her Lens alum.

In 2021, she was commissioned to write and direct a comedic short film for Paul Feig’s Powderkeg Fuse anthology series.

In commercials, Kantú has worked with such brands and clients as New Balance, Verizon, Tumi, Microsoft, Ulta Beauty, L’Oréal, LG, Aveda, AARP, Ad Council, Refinery29, Vice Media, and YouTube Originals.

 

Lentz is repped by Levity Entertainment, Verve, and Granderson Des Rochers.
